Review: To Your Eternity also known as Fumetsu no Anata e is a supernatural/adventure drama series that was first released in the spring 2021 season and consisted of 20 episodes. The premise to this story is a rather unusual one. The main character begins life as an orb which is cast into Earth. The orb is capable of changing forms when it makes contact with objects or living beings. The first form it takes is that of a rock when it lands on the ground. Over time as the temperature rises moss forms around the rock and the orb transforms into this moss. After a period of time a wolf dies on the moss which results in the orb taking the shape of the wolf. It is at this point when the orb develops a sense of consciousness and awareness...

Episode 7 The girls confront Mami and Tsuruno in what appears to be an imminent face off. Meanwhile even Nemu is expressing doubts over the whole operation. Touka remains steadfast she wants to help the magical girls. Episode 5 After a hard days work a triumphant Jahy walks home. She is beginning to get the swing of her work routine but vows this is but a step towards world domination! Episode 9 After finally putting her snacks down Elma suddenly realises the terrible work conditions in Kobayashi's office! Kobayashi is resigned to the status quo and more accepting of her fate but this does not stop Elma from raging against the MACHINE!!! She channels this energy into writing a proposal into improving work conditions but this is only met with amusement… Her second effort holds more promise but ultimately the results are similar. Instant rejection! Time for take three and Elma’s new plan is simply staggering in the sheer quantity of content. No stone is left unturned and not all of that is a good thing! Her crazy “1984” plan is summarily dismissed but this time they all get a call to the office. Uh oh...

In the midst of this Tsuruno approaches in a somewhat trance like state with her colours changing in quick secession and her repeating the same words over and over. What has happened to her? Returning to Iroha she makes a move towards the Hotel of Faint Hope on her own as she doesn't want her friends to suffer on this journey. She is stopped by Kuroe who pleads to join her. Episode 7 In an unusual turn of events Fafnir asks Quetzalcoatl if she will help him in some mysterious project… Curious to learn more, she ventures into Fafnir’s cave to discover he wants to create a manga. Is it for treasure, is it for power or is he just indulging an ecchi fetish? Fafnir hears from the grapevine that to get a manga to sell he has got to dish out some fanservice and this is where Quetzalcoatl comes in… She is less than pleased to fill this role… That is until she hears the premise that bears a striking resemblance to Quetzalcoatl’s current life… Oh, what irony it is that she thinks that the old lady’s behaviour is cruel! Episode 9 We get a brief respite from the climax of the previous episode as Satoko reflects on what she has become after all these loops. Eua does ponder if Satoko is even human at this point. Interesting question she is throwing out… After that moment of reflection, we are sucked back into the classroom where things left off. Satoko is clearly distressed, or is she? Shion comes out positively steaming over the fact no action has been taken against Satoko’s uncle. Rena agrees. Meanwhile in the Hojo household the situation gets rather fiery. Luckily Satoko quickly dispatches the fire. After that spot of firefighting Satoko, lays it out; we got to stick together as it is us versus the village. Talk about playing mind games...

This is the third season of the Higurashi franchise and unlike the previous two seasons it takes on a much light hearted tone. There are more fan service moments and general comedy that is not often seen in the main story so is really something that caters to the fans. Sandwiched between the filler though is a more serious story that centres on Rika and her making a key decision. All in all it is a fairly enjoyable ride but nothing too groundbreaking. Episode 7 After the events of episode sixes bombshell Sayuri; Tsurayuki’s fiancée decides to cook a nice meal for the gang. Tsurayuki is less than pleased dealing with this development. But it would seem there is something else is brewing and I am not talking about the food… Despite those unwanted distractions it is still business as usual with the doujin game. For a change there is good news as Tsurayuki has made a breakthrough with the script and story. Nanako on the other hand has more doubts. These matters are easily resolved however much to relief of Nanako who also uses this moment to “recharge” herself. Kyoya checks how Aki is managing the art background and character design. In the this part of the prequal series I will look at the sequel of the first Evangelion Rebuild movie; Evangelion 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance. Released in 2009 I would argue this was the strongest film in the entire Rebuild series. The balance in the story and action was the best out of the four movies plus the twists to the original Neon Genesis Evangelion storyline made this an interesting watch for newcomers and veterans alike. Despite what my review says (which was written when I had not seen Evangelion 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo) the preview can be completely ignored. Episode 3 Triumphant from gaining her new found treasure Jahy-sama imagines that everyone will grovel to her greatness! Jahy demonstrates that her mana crystal isn’t just for show and is actually the real deal by working a long shift. Working all day Jahy considers the fact she may have been a chum in using her crystal to do menial work... All it takes is a bit of flattery and you can get everywhere with Jahy! Episode 7 After the carnage of the previous episode Satoko takes a moment to reflect on recent events and what she can do to get the cat to stay. Satoko is confident that she has everything in the bag but Eua ominously reminds her that if she dies before the cat, it is game over. Was that a warning or a prophesy? Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon Yes the day we thought that would never come has finally arrived! Type Moon fans who have been waiting in a hole for the last 10 years can finally come out to enjoy the game! For those not in the know, Tsukihime blue glass moon is a visual novel game. It is a remake of the original Tsukihime which came back all the way back in 2000. Like before, Tsukihime will have two editions; the near moon edition and the far moon version. In this prequel watch we take a look at the second season of Higurashi series which answers a lot of the questions raised in the first season. In many ways I found Kai to be the true end and felt the subsequent seasons were, in essence, money grabs as entertaining as they were. Episode 3 Confronted with what appears to be Iroha's doppel it is not long before Yachiyo and Kuroe are swept away… Soon after, Yachiyo is woken up she is startled to see Felicia, Tsuruno and Sana. Confused she tries to gain her bearings rushing to Iroha who remains asleep in her bed. This sudden turn of events is pretty baffling for Yachiyo and viewers alike. What just happened exactly?
