Custom http server instead of Apache (DONE)
- New http server code is being developed at the moment to replace both the current primary ftp download method and the alternative http download code.

High bandwidth distribution server (DONE)
- A new server is being acquired and the distribution system will be migrated over there.

Changes for scalability (65% done)
- The website is being configured so that it is scalable and can be load balanced between multiple servers, allowing for higher redundancy and less load per machine.

Website authoring code (DONE!)
- There is a fundamental redesign of our website code in progress, allowing for multiple people to be able to add/remove/edit content on the pages (wiki style). By "pages", we mean more than one page! This redesign also will branch our site from it's one page roots to a normal multipage site.

It's an in-house sort of a thing. The http server is made to pretty much match specifically our system so I don't know how good of an open-source project it would be.

yeah seems many complicated setting and lot of hardworks is already done. That only means one thing a good and near perfect results is can only be gain by a lot of hardworks.

Is there any possibility of configuring the FTP server to allow FXP? we have stupid transfer limits here in Portugal (i bet all of you will laugh once i say i'm only allowed 1GB of international transfers / month) and i have an account FXP-compatible FTP server with enough room for many animes (2GBs)..

so what i'd like to be able to do was FXP-ing the files from fansub.tv to that other ftp server, and then go get it from the portuguese FTP server so it'll be accounted as national transfer..

sounds like it's something too specific, though.. i guess i'm the only one who wants that, right?:/
