On the one hand i think that since its not real and the person can still distinuish real from fiction than its just fine, but on the other hand what if he slips up? You dont want that to happen to any child.
 
I agree with you TNT, its up to me what he reads, its not hurting anyone, and no one was harmed iun the making of it (i think is a gross thing to look at but i can respect the man freedom), but as you said if he is obsessed with it then a problem could arrise, how you determine if there is a problem is anyones guess..

Is there? The fancy for kids doesnt just come from a desicion, (I hope, because otherwise I would have to agree with you) I assume its pretty much the same as with any other fetish. Be it with breasts, feet or farts, there is apperently something in certain humans that turns them on when thinking about it. Something in the subconcious or maybe its a mutation in the brain like (hope I dont offend anyone with this, it is not meant to offend) with gay feelings.

Thinking isnt bad (or maybe it is, but thats a different discussion), its acting on thoughts that are "wrong."

my opinion is kinda' split on this subject.. in one hand, the fact that it's manga and not real pictures, in my opinion, makes a huge difference. it doesn't involve real kids, so it won't create the underground business of pedophile business like selling children and stuff like that. idk, it might be comparable to venting out in GTA.. on the other hand, i still seriously dislike pedophilia so i'm not so sure about if i'd rather see it allowed or not.

my biggest doubt is: would that manga help him control his need for pedophilia or would it encourage him to up the ante and get serious? if i knew the answer to this i could easily deside what to say about this.. after thinking a little about it, maybe it really is a good way for him to control is urges.

I agree with you that kiddy porn is disgusting, but thats a personal opinion. I think that the french language should be banned and all books destroyed since I hate that language. I also think that the guys who translate the english tv scripts into dutch should go back to school since they make horribly obvious mistakes.

Overconcerned parents think that GTA is the most horrendous thing ever created since Carmageddon and should not be sold. Some Katholics think pokemon is the devilsbreed and should be banned from stores.

I think that maybe we should be a little more tolerant despite that we all lose our lunch just thinking about it. I was thinking that maybe we should send people like that to the psychiatrist, let him turn the mind of that guy inside out and judge wether or not he has a big chance of losing touch with reality...

When you vent off to something, you generally vent off on to something that won't harm others. I think that this can be applied to lollicon, even though as a society we generally look down upon it, we cannot judge other cultures and other peoples tastes based on our own backgrounds. There will obviously be differences. That being said the age of consent for sex in japan is somewhere around 14, which is 2 years younger than in England as far as I am aware.

I'm not saying kiddy porn should be allowed, but we're talking about drawings, they aren't exploiting nor damaging anyone. A child was not used as a basis for drawing it, so it should be allowed. Even if the content is very questionable.

it depends on how you define wrong. in my opinion, this guy definitely has some issues.

Gabi (my best friend - we call her Barbie Girl) said the guy who made the Bratz dolls for Mattel secretly sold them to another company, and Mattel could get in trouble for "copying" the other companies' idea. Fortunately, Mattel found out, and took the guy straight to court and the guy had nothing to say for himself. Eventually, they won the case, and the Bratz dolls are no more.

Now there's just Barbie left to get rid of
